How an estimate is worked out
Larger projects are estimated as a number of full-day sessions. The estimate depends on the design, its size, where it goes on the body, and how many sessions it needs, so two tattoos of the same size can land in different places. Smaller custom pieces get their own quote instead.
The same rates apply whichever style you choose: black & grey realism, fine line, script & lettering or a cover-up.
A project estimated at three to four full-day sessions would have an estimated tattooing budget of $2,550 to $3,400. Your estimate depends on the design, size, placement, and sessions required.

Cover-ups
Cover-ups are booked at the day rate, because they generally need more design time and more room than a fresh piece of the same size. The cover-up page explains what decides whether a tattoo can be covered, with real before and afters.
Deposits and payment
- Project scope is agreed before any appointment is reserved.
- A non-refundable 30% deposit reserves the agreed appointment and goes toward your total. The remaining balance is paid at the end of your session.
- Sending an inquiry does not reserve an appointment or require any payment.
Getting an accurate estimate
Send your idea, the placement, a rough size and any references through the request form or by text. The form also asks for your budget range and timing, and both are optional. I will talk the design through with you, give you an estimate, and suggest available dates.
